Description of Mr Palmer and Environment from my animation :- “A Badly Handled Situation”
My character for this animation is based off a purple knitted woolen glove. He is named Mr. Palmer or Palmy for short is an adventurous, outgoing expeditioner. Being made to withstand insanely low temperatures, Palmy prefers to stay outdoors and explore the winter wonderland. He dislikes being indoors as he can't stand the heat! Palmy is also determined, once he starts on a task he is guaranteed to try as many times to finish the task or die in the process. Although he is determined, he is not the most intelligent glove in drawer. He has crazy wild ideas which don't always end up the way he intended, but his determination shows us a serious side to his childish manner. Palmy is usually cautious when out travelling and therefore, whilst looking a little worn down, he is still completely intact. He has a complex relationship with his owner. He enjoys going on great adventures skiing and sledding with his owner, however Palmy has noticed that his love is not returned. He is frequently thrown across the room when his role is done and is constantly left lying in remote unknown locations. Not only does this make him sad but he finds himself wondering why he is not treated better.
In the animation we find Palmy trapped inside a room. His owner has just left the room leaving Palmy behind. The room in which the animation plays out is a young child's room, with bright blue walls and light brown carpet. It has white bookshelves, complete with many assorted books and family portraits. This bookshelf is located up against the wall next to a large full sized wooden door. The door has a metallic lever handle. The walls of the room are decorated with pictures and a few children's toys are spread out in the corners of the room and along the floor.
